David Thompson


Co-Creator and President of Thompson/Coons Productions, Inc.

Dave Thompson has been involved in film production since 1985 and is a graduate of the University of Texas Film School.  He’s been involved with film production in both Dallas and Los Angeles.

His previous works includes No-Budget Film SHADOW OF EVIL (Producer, Director, Writer), short films “I’M BORED”(Director & Writer) and has worked as Associate Producer & Production Manager for Horizon Studios (Los Angeles) and Producer, Writer on Lifetime Network Pilot “MS’S AT THE MOVIES” (Los Angeles).  He edited the Fodor/HBO/Cannon home video travelogue series “GREAT BRITAIN” (Dallas), and edited the PBS series “Mind’s Eye” (Dallas).

An accomplished photographer and writer, his screenplay “Trouble Enough” ranked in the “Top Ten Comedies” in the Screen Arts Foundation For Screenwriters Competition, 2002.  Dave has worked as a production manager in both LA and Austin and has a broad knowledge of the industry and significant technical expertise.

This will be David’s 2nd feature film project as Director.

David Coons


 David worked with Dave Thompson on “Shadow Of Evil” as Production Manager, Associate Producer and several other key positions.  He’s helped Dave with several projects since, such as the still-born “The Prey”.  After working on the “The Prey”,  we decided that we have the same goals in bringing entertaining movies to the masses and David decided to team up with Dave Thompson on all future projects.  He’s also VP of Thompson/Coons Productions.



Eric Mast

FX Producer

 Eric Mast is an honors graduate from the Art Institute of Austin with a BFA for Media Arts and Animation. A passionate and articulate artist that studied both traditional animation and efx for film. He’s at the beginning of what looks like a promising career and Furies will be his first cinematic project.

Eric produced the special effect shots for the Proof of Concept trailer. His knowledge of CG Effects helped us achieve flawless effects in the trailer. With working knowledge of cg animation, 2D compositing, writing, storyboarding and film editing, as well as experience in sound editing, Eric knows every step of the film process intimately.



Persephone Vandegrift

Associate Producer/Graphic Novel Producer

Persephone is a multi award-winning writer for film, stage and literary venues. She is the Writer/Producer of short films ALL THINGS HIDDEN & THE LAST LIGHT, winner of the historical genre of Capital Fund Screenplay contest with her ancient Rome biopic on Agrippina the Elder – DEATH OF A MORTAL WOMAN (currently being adapted for a mini-series). She is the writer of Dram/Rom/Com feature set in Scotland, THE WATER KING, and WW2 TV pilot for mini-series ESTHER’S DEN, and has recently been asked to come on board as a story consultant and Associate Producer for supernatural thriller, THE FURIES, with its director, Dave Thompson. She is the author of a series of illustrated fairy-tales, ‘THE VERY FAIRY SERIES’, and recently released her first fantasy story, THE MAIDEN TREE.

Besides historical, Persephone also writes in the family-friendly adventure, fantasy, social justice, and drama genres. She is an avid adapter of classical mythology for the stage. Her plays have been produced across the US, and her literary work published worldwide. Persephone also teaches creative writing and is a personal story and script coach.

Managing Production Company

 Founded by David Thompson & David Coons in 2013, “The Furies” will be the first in a long series of films produced. TCP’s goal is to produce compelling films for mass markets, partnering with major studios and distribution companies.

Currently, TCP has the Short film “Furies – Proof of Concept” in the festival circuit and it was selected to be in competition at the Cannes Short film Festival.
